CariJam is above all an educational event that brings together the region's young people to promote peace and mutual understanding and to develop leadership and life skills.
The 16th Caribbean Scout Jamboree will feature critical innovations such as the Global Development Village, special sustainability initiatives, and the socialization elements that allow participants to make lifelong friends from around the world.
Unlike any other youth event, the Caribbean Jamboree invites you to surround yourself in diverse global cultures by joining your new Scouting friends at a single destination for 8 unforgettable days. The jamboree experience extends beyond your home—and beyond the boundaries of our countries—to create an incredible global adventure that will last a lifetime!
Participation will be open to male and female youth participants between the ages of 12 and 18.
A special Rovers programme will be in place for young adult participants between the ages
of 18 and 25.
All Participants must be registered members of their National Scout Organisations..
CariJam 2020 will be held in the twin-island Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, the southern-most island in the Caribbean.

Couched in the lush, green hills of the Maracas Valley, Maracas Valley and set amidst the mountainous rainforest of Trinidad’s Northern Range, lies Ortinola Estate.
This pristine piece of nature will be the home of the 16th Caribbean Scout Jamboree, where Scouts from across the region will come to discover what they’re made of, conquer their fears, and explore the incredible adventures that the Caribbean and Trinidad and Tobago has to offer.
Created by colonial land grant in the late 18th Century, when the Spanish Town of St Joseph was still the island’s capital, this 300+ acre estate offers the opportunity for a great outdoor tropical experience.
