Thank you to everyone who registered and showed interest in CariJam 2020.
Due to the recent outbreak of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), and after careful consideration, The Scout Association of Trinidad and Tobago has taken the difficult decision to postpone the 16th Caribbean Jamboree until 2021.
CariJam is above all an educational event that brings together the region's young people to promote peace and mutual understanding and to develop leadership and life skills.
The 16th Caribbean Scout Jamboree will feature critical innovations such as the Global Development Village, special sustainability initiatives, and the socialization elements that allow participants to make lifelong friends from around the world.
Unlike any other youth event, the Caribbean Jamboree invites you to surround yourself in diverse global cultures by joining your new Scouting friends at a single destination for 8 unforgettable days. The jamboree experience extends beyond your home—and beyond the boundaries of our countries—to create an incredible global adventure that will last a lifetime!
Participation will be open to male and female youth participants between the ages of 11 and 26.
All Participants must be registered members of their National Scout Organisations..
CariJam 2020 will be held in the twin-island Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, the southern-most island in the Caribbean.
'Trinbagonians' are deeply proud of our hospitality and the unique mixture of different cultures which has resulted from our animated history.
Comprising a mix of descendants of people from Amerindian, African, East Indian, European, Middle Eastern and Chinese origin, Trinidad and Tobago’s diversity is reflected in our vibrant culture through our food, festivals, customs and general way of life. Our most famous festival is the annual Carnival, the second largest in the World!
Our theme, Incredible Adventure, invites you to experience the exciting adventures that the Caribbean has to offer, sharing of cultures, and new friendships.
Holding fast to our traditions of conservation and outdoorsmanship, CariJam 2020 will fully embrace the growing trend of leadership development and global citizenship that our movement has cultivated
